Performance Management

National Public Health Improvement Initiative

Local and state health departments funded under the Affordable Care Act's national public health improvement initiative will receive direct capacity building assistance and support in the form of TA, training, tools, resources, and support that will enhance health department capacity to improve internal practices, increase efficiencies and develop and support new infrastructure and systems to increase their effectiveness and efficiency, subsequently enhancing the public health infrastructure and improving health. Turning Point

Turning Point: Collaborating for a New Century in Public Health was a national initiative sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The program was directed by NACCHO and the University of Washington School of Public Health, but no longer receives grant funding. Turning Point created a national learning environment and provided resources and support for participating states, tribes, and communities. More »

Healthy People 2020-NACCHO Partnership

NACCHO's partnership with Healthy People 2020 (HP 2020) is designed to support and increase the use of HP 2020 among local health departments (LHDs) and other organizations related to community health assessment and improvement planning. All programmatic activities will be designed to support the HP 2020 ten-year agenda for improving the Nation's health. More »
