Community health projects address a wide variety of health promotion and disease prevention issues, including chronic disease, HIV/STI, other infectious diseases, injury, adolescent health, reproductive health, immunization, tobacco, primary care, and mental health.
In the Spotlight
NACCHO has released the first module in its Local Health Departments and Hepatitis C educational series. To support local health departments and their partners, NACCHO developed this series to increase knowledge of HCV-related topics, provide information and examples of how local health departments can leverage existing resources to address HCV, and share successful local health department practices and policies for expanding HCV-related services in their communities. Throughout 2015, NACCHO will develop and disseminate additional educational modules, resources, and tools. More »
