Local Health Department Receiving Technical Assistance: Randolph Board of Health, MA
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is currently offering technical assistance support to local health departments to improve their capacity to develop or enhance health promotion programs for people living with disabilities through coordination of existing health department and community services.
The Randolph Board of Health community is very diverse with approximately 22 different languages spoken by its residents. It also houses a local school for autism students up to age 22. The Randolph Board of Health and its community partners are conducting a project to promote the health and well-being of people with disabilities funded by NACCHO.
Randolph Board of Health is receiving technical assistance from Jefferson County Health Department and is planning to increase awareness around emergency preparedness and individuals living with disabilities by offering emergency preparedness classes and "grab and go" backpacks.

Randolph County Health Department received guidance from Jefferson County Health Department (WA) to gain information on how the sponsor agency created and implemented emergency preparedness activities in Port Townsend. With information and materials gained from the Jefferson County Health Department, they were able to reach out to individuals with developmental disabilities.
