The Local Perspective
Chapter 5 Photo

In spring 2010, NACCHO conducted in-person interviews with 10 select local health departments (LHDs) to identify strategies LHDs used to execute the CDC Adult HBV Vaccination Initiative and lessons learned. The information in this fact sheet presents factors LHDs found helpful for administering vaccine to populations at disproportionate risk for HBV and challenges encountered or lessons learned while ensuring eligible clients receive the full HBV vaccine series.
