Zoning Talking Points

Local zoning departments impact the health of a community in a myriad of ways. This tool developed by Change Lab Solutions, "Zoning: Talking Points", provides specific key messages for public health advocates to use when working with local decision makers on zoning ordinances to improve health outcomes. It covers a range of health problems from obesity to asthma. For those working to develop or implement health in all policies, it is important to have zoning decision makers at the table because of the profound impact that zoning can have on health. This tool helps to initiate cross-sectoral relationships with zoning authorities.
