Just-In-Time Training (JITT) Curriculum Example


Elbert County Department of Public Health and Environment, CO, uses this curriculum to administer just-in-time training to staff and volunteers in the event of an emergency.

The first resource is a series of job action sheets for vital public health response roles.  

The second resource is a PowerPoint presentation covering the basics of an emergency response, including the following:

  • Event Basics
  • Incident Command
  • Communications
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Legal Issues

The presentation is meant to be used as a template that can be personalized to any agency.

These resources were submitted as evidence for Goal 2 of a Project Public Health Ready application and can be used as an example by other agencies.
