Isolation and Quarantine Standard Operating Procedure

This 22-page PDF document is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Isolation and Quarantine created in 2005 as evidence for Goal 1 of Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) by Public Health – Seattle & King County.

This Isolation/Quarantine SOP was identified by NACCHO as a best-practice during the second round of PPHR. The Isolation/Quarantine plan, while labeled "draft," is useful and the creation of the role of ‘Duty Officer' is creative and helpful.

This document includes:

  • Key Provisions for Involuntary Detention for Tuberculosis
  • Isolation and Quarantine Standard Operating Procedure
  • Duty Officer Checklist
  • Infectious Tuberculosis Detention Response
  • Public Health Responsibilities Flow Chart
