ESF 8 Annex Example


This annex outlines the roles of the agencies responsible for Emergency Support Function 8 - Health and Medical Services.  It covers mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery actions for natural and man-made incidents. 

Specific annexes are also included to address the following:

  • Special needs sheltering;
  • Mass prophylaxis;
  • Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) assets;
  • Epidemiological surveillance and investigation;
  • Pandemic Influenza;
  • Medical Surge Capacity; and
  • Biosurveillance.

This document was submitted as evidence for Goal 1 of a Project Public Health Ready Application and can be used as an example by other applicants.
