Accessible Emergency Preparedness Videos

Over the past few years Americans have experienced both natural and man made disasters.  In an effort to better inform the community the Northeast Texas Public Health District has compiled 18 Emergency Preparedness Topics and formatted the information to be friendly to deaf, blind, and limited sight populations.  The information is in video and downloadable document format for public use. Videos cover general emergency preparedness, basic first aid, chemical emergencies, earthquakes, food safety, heat safety, infectious disease, insect/animal hazards, landslides, nuclear events, radiological events, shelter in place, terrorism, mass casualty/explosions, flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, and winter storms.

Accessibility: This website may be difficult to navigate using a screen reader. Videos are closed captioned and have American Sign Language translations. Braille and large print documents are provided.
