Reversing the Trend in Childhood Obesity: Policies to Promote Healthy Kids and Communities


The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) have recently released a report focusing on enacted legislation designed to reduce and prevent childhood obesity in 2010. “Reversing the Trend in Childhood Obesity: Policies to Promote Healthy Kids and Communities” highlights laws and policies passed in 2010, summarized in 17 topic areas. It provides a snap shot of laws passed by legislatures who have grown increasingly interested in passing laws to promote healthy living and the reduction of childhood obesity.
