Using Social Media Platforms to Amplify Public Health Messaging


Social support and strong social networks make important contributions to our health.  They provide emotional and practical resources, and make us feel cared for, loved, esteemed and valued.1 Consequently, social  marketers have long relied on these networks as channels to raise awareness of public health-related issues, facilitate behavior change, and ultimately help people live healthier, safer lives.
