Talking Points: Confronting Disparities in Sexually Transmitted Diseases

The Council of State Governments has developed a series of talking points to use with legislators. The talking points cover why legislators should be concerned about STDs, the degree of racial and ethnic disparities in STD rates, causes of racial and ethnic disparities in STDs, and what state legislators can do. These talking points can be adapted for use with county and city officials, representatives, and leaders.
