Terry Allan, BS, MPH
Terry Allan has been the health commissioner of the Cuyahoga County Board of Health since 2004, which serves as the local public health authority for over 886,000 citizens in 57 Greater Cleveland communities. Terry has been with the Board for 20 years, with direct program and administrative experience in Environmental Health, Epidemiology, and Surveillance and Community Health programs. Terry is also an adjunct facutly member at Case WEstern REserve University's School of Medicine and is on the Board of Directors for the Cuyahoga County Family and Children First Council and the Cuyahoga County Invest in Children Iniative. He has served on several advisory panels for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Terry is the current President of the Association of Ohio Health Commissioners (AOHC) and was a Year 13 Scholar of CDC's National Public Health Leadership Institute. Terry represents Ohio in his second term as an At-Large member on the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Board of Directors.
