Matias Valenzuela, MA, PhD

Public Education Coordinator
Public Health - Seattle & King County, WA

Matías Valenzuela is a lead staff of the King County Equity and Social Justice Initiative. He works in the Director?s Office for Public Health - Seattle & King County, where he leads health educations programs and campaigns. He also serves as a public information officer and spokesperson for the department. His areas of expertise include health communications, development communications and social marketing. He has worked as a print and broadcast journalist in the United States and abroad. His MA and PhD are from the University of Washington's Department of Communication. He is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington?s School of Public Health and Community Medicine.
