The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District has developed and continually refined the concept of the ?Ten Zip Code? over the past decade to illustrate the communities most affected by social and health disparities, and most at-risk for preventable health conditions including teen pregnancy, domestic violence, and obesity. The Director of Health, Dr. Fernando Guerra, will discuss the development of the Ten Zip Codes concept and its application to various public health interventions and policy issues.
