Conference Track:
Best Practices and Their Impact on the Six Winnable Battles

Have you heard about the large federal investments being made in health information technology and wondered what it means for your local health department (LHD)? This session will discuss the national picture and how your organization fits in. Participants will see how LHDs compare to one another in terms of informatics capacity and needs by learning about needs assessment conducted by NACCHO. Participants will have the chance to take part in the sharing of tools, ideas and experiences that allow them to become involved with the development of health information technology in their state or region.
