10/24/2013 12:00 PM 1:00 PM
As the heating season begins, join us for an hour-long webinar to learn about the state of the science on the health impacts of burning wood, and tools that local health officials can use to protect public health. Presenters include Dr. Polly Hoppin, University of Massachusetts, Lowell, director of the Northeast Initiative on Wood Biomass and Health; Dr. Michael Brauer, University of British Columbia, whose research assesses exposure and health impacts of air pollution, with a special focus on wood biomass combustion; and Lisa Rector, Senior Policy Analyst with the Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM).
